imm (5)

In My Mailbox (imm) is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren.

I’m going to call this IMM The Loaner Edition. Every single book in today’s lineup is on loaner, meaning YAY FREE BOOKS.

Borrowed from my coworker:

1) Bossypants (Tina Fey) — I freaked when I learned Tina Fey was coming out with a book. Then I freaked when my coworker got it in the mail. And then when she loaned it to me. And now I’m freaking out because I’m looking at my ridiculously filled calendar and oh my goodness.

Borrowed from the library:

1) Odd Thomas (Dean Koontz) — My dad has nagged me to read this series for the longest time. He’s recommended a lot of books to me, but this one seemed to be the least bloody. Hopefully.

2) Aces Up (Lauren Barnholdt) — I really enjoyed Barnholdt’s Two-Way Street.

3) Beige (Cecil Castellucci) — I Cover Loved the paperback version of it here, and Carla fangirled all over loved it here.

4) Please Ignore Vera Dietz (A.S. King) — I’ve read The Dust of 100 Dogs, looking forward to reading this one.

  1. I’ve had Aces Up for quite awhile now — almost a year? and have yet to read it. I know, SHAME ON ME! You will have to tell me how it is.

    • Heck yeah, free books! My coworker said she kept cracking up reading it so if I get completely distraught after reading a heavy book and need something funny, I’ll definitely be reading this one IMMEDIATELY afterwards.

    • I tried to read a Koontz book once (Midnight — in junior high, no less) and got completely confused. Dad raves about this entire series, and good to hear you enjoyed it too, so I’ve got high hopes. 😉
