when adult fiction book covers remind me of ya book covers

I was at the bookstore recently doing a random round of cover-stalking when I noticed this gem in the bargain book section.

It’s not very often that a cover in one genre (adult) will remind me of another cover in a different genre (YA). This was a pleasant surprise.

Stumped on this cover’s YA counterpart? If so, click here. πŸ˜‰

  1. I’m so proud of myself for knowing the cover you were talking about before I clicked the link. See, I learn from you!

  2. I didn’t know the book, but I agree with your comment on the cover. Perhaps more designers of adult book covers need to gain inspiration from YA books. πŸ˜€

  3. Woo, I got it immediately! Of course, it didn’t hurt that I just read Freefall yesterday, lol. If that hadn’t been the case, I doubt I would’ve gotten it. Freefall is a really good book, by the way.

    • Thank you for the random infodump, Sarah! And I LOVE the cover for The Apothecary! You know I love me some beautifully illustrated artwork. Feel free to random infodump all over this blog ANY TIME.

  4. I KNEW THE COVER!! BEFORE I CLICKED THE LINK!! i am clearly a book cover mastermind due to this blog, or maybe just a book addict. WHATEVS. moving on, i love that some adult books smooze to the ya way of thinking because clearly ya is a much better genre what with all the sexytimes and swoon and stuff.
